Cabin Air Filters

The cabin air filter is responsible for cleaning outside air entering the vehicle. Because up to 100,000 litres of air can be blown into the vehicle’s interior in less than an hour, it can easily become clogged with debris. Unfortunately, a blocked cabin filter will not be effective, resulting in a below-par heating and cooling system, and causing the air inside the vehicle to become more polluted than the air outside up to six times more. Similarly, bacteria and fungi can accumulate in the filter, leading to unpleasant smells in the cabin. Fitting a high-performance cabin filter, such as Delphi, is essential in eliminating these harmful pollutants and odours, safeguarding both you and the air conditioning (A/C) system.

High-performance media

All our cabin air filters use a high-performance, non-woven fabric to eliminate dust, pollen, bacteria and exhaust particles, amongst others. The specially designed filter fabric contains up to five individual layers, removing near 100 percent of harmful pollutants.

Enhanced protection

Over time moisture can build up in the filter and become a feeding ground for bacteria and mould. This can then spread into the lines of the HVAC system, where it emits unpleasant odours. For the ultimate protection from this and other pollutants, we also offer a range of carbon activated filters. Our carbon activated filters feature the same high quality, non-woven fabric as our particle filters, with the addition of a layer of activated carbon. Sandwiched between two layers of fleece, this highly effective technology removes more pollutants than standard filters, and expels nasty gases and smells too.

What brake fluid do I need?

You can find out which brake fluid the vehicle in question needs by looking at the cap on the brake fluid reservoir. There should be a DOT number written on there, which will tell you which specification you need.

How often should brake fluid be changed?

We recommend checking a vehicle’s brake fluid once a year, and changing it every two years to help your brakes stay in good shape.

What does brake fluid do?

Through hydraulic pipe, brake fluid converts the moment of the brake pedal, to the movement of the pad or shoe, on to the disc or drum. It also acts as a lubricant to keep the moving parts of the system working effectively.

How do I check brake fluid level?

Simply find the brake fluid reservoir in the engine bay. You can check the level of the brake fluid with a look at the clearly marked level indicators for Min and Max level. The ideal level is between these two markers.

The fluid should also be checked for water content, as brake fluid will absorb water over time.
