Course Overview
With more of todays vehicles now incorporating hybrid and hybrid plug in technology (PHEV), it is vital that today's technician can repair components of the high voltage system. This course will give you the confidence and capability to safely work on vehicles and repair hybrid systens on both petrol and diesel. This qualification is designed for the technician who will repair the hybrid system itself.

PrerequisitesThis course has been designed to enhance the knowledge already obtained by completing the IMI level 2 & 3, and provide the ability to repair a high voltage component.

This course includes:
- Detailed look at Nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) and Lithium-ion (Li-Ion) batteries covering Hybrid, PHEV and full EV vehicles.
- Affects of slow charge, rapid and supercharging over the life of the battery.
- Hybrid system diagnosis, looking at primarily the power supply unit and repairing the components directly over complete unit replacement.
- Ensures that the workshop can meet the customers needs at the highest level of technology.
