Despite 2020 being an unprecedented year for the global automotive industry, Delphi Technologies’ braking program has made great strides this year to become the first-mover supplier in Europe with market-leading coverage. As we wrap up for the holidays with two more first-to-market brake pad announcements, let’s take a look at everything our braking program has accomplished this past year.

A company record for first-to-market brake pads

We have recently announced on social media 2 more first-to-market brake pad applications in our European braking program; Front brake pads for the new Toyota Yaris Cross (09/2020>) and front brake pads for the Toyota Prius PHV (05/2019>)

By continuously expanding our braking program, Delphi Technologies Aftermarket enables new business opportunities for our customers by providing access to high-quality replacement parts for a rapidly growing car parc in Europe.

Braking coverage for a rapidly evolving car parc in Europe

We talked a lot this year about our marketing-leading braking coverage and expanded Asian vehicle manufacturer line-up; the latter being a fast-growing service opportunity for independent garages. And while Delphi Technologies’ braking program provides access to premium parts for high-quality service and maintenance of today’s vehicles, we’re also looking ahead and preparing our customers for the future of the aftermarket.

As unprecedented as 2020 has been for the global economy, automotive market trends continue to move toward electrification due to stringent emission regulations, government incentives, growing charging infrastructures, and advancing battery technology that have reduced EV cost and increase driving range. While top vehicle manufactures are planning electrification goals for Europe, we’re gearing up our braking program to provide a full-service solution for the new electrified car parc, with plans to expand our HEV and BEV brake pad line-up in 2021.
