Our leading-edge 350 bar pressure gasoline direct injection system raises the bar, taking injection pressure from 200 to 350 bar. By injecting smaller droplets into the combustion chamber faster, the latest generation system delivers fewer hydrocarbons and particulate emissions – up to 70 percent - and increased fuel savings. And if that’s not enough, we’re already working on a 500 bar solution.

GDi maintenance

With the launch of the Hartridge Excalibur GDi Master, Delphi is now expanding its GDi service program offering in North America to include GDi and multiport gas fuel injector testing equipment. The Excalibur GDi Master is capable of providing up to 250 bar, and powerful flow and injection per minute rates allow it to test coil and piezo injectors of both GDi & PFI technology types.

Summary

This function is used to program the DCU with the new injector codes after replacing injectors.

The injector code is printed on the body. The code has 20 to 24 characters (framed in red on the photograph).

Resolution

1. Test Conditions

Key on, engine stopped.
Battery voltage greater than 12 V.

2. Procedure

Start the function.
A dialogue box will display the programmed injector codes, select "OK".
Select the injector to be programmed in the dialogue box then select "OK". If the injector code is correct, close the function.
Enter the new injector code in the dialogue box and then confirm by selecting "OK" to finish the programming sequence. Use capital letters only.

A dialogue box will indicate if the programming sequence has succeeded or failed.
If the function fails, check the test conditions and correct any faults found.
