Resource Highlights
A battery health check is just the beginning. In this video, our Delphi expert walks you through how to use the Delphi DS software’s Multi Module Data function to deliver a complete EV health report.
- Run a battery state-of-health test
- Perform a high-voltage system check
- Conduct a full system fault code scan across all ECUs
- Capture live temperature sensor readings
- Compile and generate a comprehensive customer report
What is the Multi Module Data function used for?
This function gathers real-time data from multiple Electronic Control Units (ECUs) across the vehicle to create a comprehensive overview of the EV’s health – not just the battery. It’s designed to give technicians a full picture of the car’s condition.
How does the battery state-of-health test work?
It reads all cell voltages from the battery, including the minimum and maximum values it should be between. This helps assess the battery’s condition and identify early warning signs.
Why is it important to run a high-voltage system check?
This test collects data from all high-voltage modules to evaluate their performance and consistency. It helps ensure the entire electric powertrain system is operating safely and efficiently.
Can this tool detect temperature sensor issues in the battery?
Yes. By pulling live data from every temperature sensor within the battery module, you can identify any outlier readings, potentially catching cooling system problems before they become serious.
What’s included in the final EV health report?
The report includes:
- Fault codes from all ECUs
- Battery state of health (cell voltages)
- High-voltage system check results
Technicians can also add vehicle mileage, technician name, and notes before saving or printing the report.
