Cergy, France (October 21, 2025) – PHINIA, a global leader in premium fuel systems, electrical systems, and aftermarket solutions, marked its inaugural attendance at Equip Auto 2025 with two award wins and a host of new offerings unveiled. During the 50th anniversary of the show in Paris, France, PHINIA unveiled new innovations across hydrogen technology, braking systems, steering and suspension, sensors, and diagnostic solutions.

Two awards for PHINIA’s hydrogen injector system

Since 1985, the Equip Auto International Grand Prix for Automotive Innovation has shone a light on the most forward-thinking and effective innovations that provide benefits to automotive service professionals. Winners are selected based on technological excellence and sustainable transformation. PHINIA’s hydrogen internal combustion engine (H2ICE) injection system, which was developed at the PHINIA’s Blois site in France, was honored in two categories at this year’s Grand Prix: Original Equipment and Special CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). The advanced system took home both awards as a robust and cost-efficient solution on the market for making hydrogen a credible and sustainable alternative to fossil fuels in the near future.

Compatible with compressed natural gases (CNG) and hydrogen gases, these next-generation injectors (DI-CHG10 and DI-CHG15) are designed to reduce emissions while maintaining performance and range. With standard maintenance requirements and refueling in just ten minutes, H₂ICE seamlessly leverages conventional combustion engine technology., meaning repair workshops could service H₂ICE vehicles using familiar tools and procedures. Following successful road trials, PHINIA's H₂ICE injectors are now part of collaborative projects with leading manufacturers, including Alpine’s Alpenglow hydrogen-powered concept car.

Delphi strengthens its aftermarket offering

At Equip Auto 2025, Delphi, PHINIA’s premium aftermarket brand, introduced Professional+, a new range of brake pads designed to meet the intensive demands of light commercial vehicles (LCVs). Reinforced friction materials and premium components are designed to increase pad lifespan by 40% on average, reducing downtime and optimizing fleet efficiency.

At launch, the 58-reference range covers approximately 70% of the European LCV fleet, including popular models such as Transit, Sprinter, and Ducato. Separately, Delphi also expanded its bimetallic brake disc offering for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars , providing lighter, stronger components that improve performance, reduce fuel consumption, and enhance heat and corrosion resistance.

Delphi also showcased its expanded steering and suspension portfolio, aligned to plans to add approximately 3,300 SKUs between 2024 and 2026. By the end of 2025, Delphi’s range will cover hundreds of millions of vehicles across Europe, including nearly 9,000 references, with more than 2,200 dedicated to electric vehicles (EVs). These expanded capabilities, coupled with Delphi’s advanced materials to improve vehicle safety, reduce weight, and ensure stability, reinforce Delphi’s leadership in European fleet coverage.

Additionally, Delphi showcased its two latest diagnostic tablets – the DS380 (Microsoft GO4) and DS580 (Microsoft Pro10) – which are compatible with the BlueTech VCI and demonstrated the DS-Cloud which is Delphi’s in-house cloud platform for storing and syncing diagnostic records, so technicians can view vehicle reports and data from any connected computer or device.  The DS-Cloud platform makes job history accessible to enhance traceability in the workshops.

Finally, Delphi teased the launch of three new sensor types, including 14 GDi pressure sensors, 16 liquid fuel pressure sensors, and 53 ride height level sensors. These additions complement Delphi’s existing fuel and chassis systems, delivering complete, high-performance solutions for aftermarket technicians.

Delphi also took the opportunity to recognize the contribution of its partners with awards highlighting achievements in sales, customer service, brand promotion, and long-term collaboration. These awards reflect PHINIA’s commitment to its customers and reinforce Delphi’s growing success as a premium aftermarket brand.
