Warwick, UK (February 23, 2026) – Delphi, a brand of PHINIA Inc., has released a new range of brake pads for light commercial vehicles (LCVs). The Professional+ line has been engineered to withstand the high-stop, high-load conditions typical of fleet use. It offers longer pad life and added workshop value.
A total of 58 SKUs will be phased in progressively during 2026, ensuring coverage of high-demand applications including the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Vito, Ford Transit, Volkswagen Transporter, Fiat Ducato, and Iveco Daily - covering about 70% of the European LCV parc.
Durability is the differentiator. Professional+ pads use an innovative heavy-duty friction material that results in an average of 40% longer life than conventional aftermarket pads. Testing on high-mileage platforms like the Sprinter showed reduced wear and excellent braking performance.
To support consistent quality and reduce installation time, all pads ship with a sachet of brake grease. In addition, pre-fitted silver shims minimize noise and vibration to deliver a smoother, quieter ride. Even in cases where the original equipment (OE) doesn't include shims, Delphi's Professional+ pads do.
The pads feature a distinctive blue backplate and laser-etched, silver-painted shim marked with "Professional+", and new packaging also highlights core benefits like durability, comfort, and professional-grade design.
Thanks to its advanced formulation, the Professional+ pad lasts longer while maintaining a low impact on disc wear—helping preserve the overall lifespan of the braking system.

As a further demonstration of Delphi’s commitment to quality and confidence in the Professional+ range, the new pads are covered by 5-year or 50,000-mile warranty (equivalent to approximately 80,000 kilometers). This added protection underscores the rigorous validation process behind the product, including extensive dynamometer testing and real-world performance trials, offering peace of mind to distributors, workshops, and fleet operators alike.
The new Professional+ brake pad range brings clear value to distributors by enriching their portfolio with a high-quality, differentiated product. It supports access to business opportunities through fleet contracts, while reinforcing customer loyalty thanks to its consistent performance and upgraded specification.
Workshops can benefit from greater efficiency in day-to-day operations, with pre-fitted shims and included grease that help reduce installation time. Its long-lasting performance also opens the door to new service opportunities with fleets and high-mileage vehicles.
Drivers and fleet operators, in turn, will appreciate the extended pad life of 40% on average without increased disc wear. This will result in fewer replacements, reduced total cost of ownership, and braking reliability that holds up under the demands of intensive use.
