Course Overview
The oscilloscope is an essential tool for diagnosing many vehicle faults. This course concentrates on oscilloscope set up, component testing, time base, sample rates and triggers. There is an emphasis placed on knowing what your are expecting to see before you test.

PrerequisitesA good understanding of vehicle electronics and engine management systems including sensor and actuator operation or successful completion of GEM1 & GEM2 modules.
This course includes:
- Setting up the oscilloscope.
- Time base.
- Voltage signal testing at sensors and actuators.
- Use of amp clamps.
- Using an oscilloscope for fault finding on ignition and fuel system components.
