Why do fuel pumps fail? This hands-on event looks at PFI/GDI issues and solutions in a lab-like setting. Instruction focuses on in-bay scan tool PID/TID values, current ramping, intermittent pump failures, wiring harness testing/replacement and control module quick tests. Detailed, practical tips regarding pump assemblies, fuel forensics and filter issues are covered. Demonstration/use of technician tools: pressure/volume kit, J2534, laptop, (Pico) lab scope, DMM, fuse buddies, amp clamp, miscellaneous hand tools needed for fuel lines (PFI/GDI) demonstrations and discussion.
