Why should I check the diagnostics tool before the vehicle arrives?
It helps you confirm that the function you need (e.g. battery replacement) is available for that specific vehicle as well as providing any additional requirements. This avoids wasted time, incorrect bookings, and helps meet customer expectations.
How do I check a service function using the DS tool?
Simply launch DS-Car, enter the vehicle registration, and use the QuickFind search to type in the component or service.
What is the Helpfile and why is it important?
The Helpfile provides crucial service information for specific functions, such as post-programming requirements. For example, a 12V battery replacement may require the vehicle to enter sleep mode for 3 hours, which you can then communicate to the customer.
How quickly can I check this information?
The whole process takes around 15 seconds, making it an efficient way to prepare and give accurate information without even needing the vehicle on site.
