How LFP & GDi sensors work
A fuel pressure sensor measures the pressure inside the fuel system. It then sends that data to the engine control unit. The control unit uses this signal to regulate fuel delivery through the injection system. When the pressure reading is accurate, the engine can maintain the correct fuel flow during idle, acceleration, and load changes.
Our innovative sensors deliver ultra-fast and stable pressure signals in normal and demanding operating environments. The response times are sub-2 milliseconds. In GDi systems, the sensor supports typical operating pressures between 100 and 500 bar while maintaining a consistent signal output.

LFP & GDi Sensors FAQs
-
Which vehicles are compatible with Delphi fuel pressure sensors?
Our portfolio includes 32 sensor part numbers and covers more than 25 million vehicles worldwide.
-
What conditions can Delphi fuel pressure sensors withstand?
There is no shortage of challenges on the road: vibration, pressure spikes, extreme temperatures, and tough conditions near the engine. Delphi handles it all. Our sensors tolerate vibration loads up to 67 g and burst pressure up to 4,700 bar. Plus, the hermetic construction protects internal electronics.
-
How fast do Delphi fuel pressure sensors respond to pressure changes?
Delphi fuel pressure sensors transmit pressure data in less than 2 milliseconds. This fast signal response allows the engine control unit to react fast when fuel pressure changes.
-
What pressure range do Delphi GDi fuel pressure sensors support?
Delphi GDi fuel pressure sensors support usual operating pressures between 100 and 500 bar. This pressure range matches the demands of modern gasoline direct injection systems.
