Sway Bar Links

Delphi sway bar links are strong and stable. They go through rigorous fatigue testing to prevent premature failure, with anti-corrosion protection applied to each part. With a top-grade rubber boot and a high-performance grease, they deliver a safe and comfortable ride, time and time again.

What sway bar links do

Sway bar links help prevent excessive leaning during turns and keep the vehicle stable by linking the sway bar, also known as the stabilizer or anti-roll bar, to the suspension components. They connect the vehicle's left and right wheels through short links, reducing body roll while cornering, and absorbing shocks from potholes and uneven road surfaces.

When sway bar links fail

The sway bar rotates as the vehicle turns, which stresses the sway bar links and bushings. If it wears out over time, it will need to be replaced to ensure safe handling of the vehicle.

Engineered for a stronger, durable part

Because they’re subject to extremely high stresses, Delphi link stabilizers feature a larger, surface-hardened steel ball pin, wear-resistant plastic clip-on socket, reinforced link rod and a temperature-resistant, high-performance grease. Together they offer improve load carrying capacity and service life.

Added protection

Given their position, they are particularly vulnerable to contamination from dirt and moisture. For reliable protection from this and more, we use sealed, high-grade rubber boots on all our sway bar links. We also apply an environmentally friendly, water-based cataphoretic coating providing up to 10 years’ corrosion protection.

Rigorous testing

They are subject to massive shock loading, so we conduct tensile strength testing to validate both the product housing and welding strength - applying force through the center of the housing until breakage occurs. Importantly this is never sooner than the OE.
